"Urban District Market" emerges as an cultural and culinary hub, transforming the edifice of two bowstring trussed masonry buildings into a vibrant 20,000 sf epicenter of dining and entertainment. Formerly home to Charlotte mainstays like Birdsong Brewing Company and CenterStage at NoDa, this venue is rich in heritage and seeks to serve the local and global community. This vibrant ecosystem revolves around its patrons’ needs, with family-friendly features including unique nursing spaces and shared restrooms that embody inclusivity. The individual stalls offer a symphony of different types of cuisines, a supermarket, and a brewery/distillery. They take advantage of shared storage and walk-in coolers, but each have their own identity and unique kitchen.
Enter the “LaBARatory,” where Soju distillery meets craft brewery, one of the first of its kind in the Southeastern US. "Crispy Patty" serves up golden-crusted delights, while "The Rare Butcher" elevates steakhouse indulgence minus the pomp. "HC Burger Company" champions the handmade ethos, and "Stick Street" serves delicious global street foods on sticks.
"Taco Adventure Company" unites Lebanese and Mexican traditions; "Stuffed" celebrates global dumpling diversity; and "Bop Bop" crafts life-affirming rice bowls under a palette of greens and charred wood. The Urban District Market weaves community, flavors, and design into a narrative of urban splendor, a destination for anyone and everyone along Charlotte's Cross-Charlotte Trail.
