Charlotte is growing faster than anyone could have imagined, and obviously we have a need for multifamily projects that are good. For Phase 2 of The Joinery, Cluck took a significant amount of care to make this a truly kick ass project through its creativity, sustainability, and beautiful structural integrity. Most notably, the use of cross-laminated timber (CLT) promises a solution that is better than steel, with engineered wood that is beautiful and revolutionary.

The walkable, small-scale retail on the ground floor evokes major metropolitan vibes, as if every twenty feet there is something new to look at. We wanted this project to feel like all the best parts of New York, Paris, Copenhagen, and more. Urban Design consultant Gehl focused on bringing nature to the forefront with the incorporation of different types of flora and fauna. With these details, as well as electric car shares, solar panels, and thoughtful amenities, the Phase 2 of The Joinery will offer a modern living experience from the ground up.
