Welcome to Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails, a captivating project in a Historic Landmark building. Located near Downtown Rock Hill, this establishment pays homage to its surroundings while offering a unique and inviting atmosphere. A key requirement was to preserve and showcase the existing brickwork, ensuring its historical significance remained unobscured.
Stepping inside, guests are greeted by a vibrant space that reflects the spirit of the community. The design incorporates elements that cater to both sports enthusiasts and academics. Adjacent to the restaurant, a large cornhole community league provides entertainment, while the nearby sports and events center hosts minor athletics. The outdoor courtyard, inspired by universities from the 1930s and 1940s, serves as a lush backdrop, creating a collegiate atmosphere with abundant greenery.
Large-scale graphics and paintings adorn the walls, reminiscent of pennants and the aesthetics of a library. The side patio offers a delightful retreat, while the choice of upholstery evokes the nostalgia of an old rugby player's uniform. As the sister establishment of Goodyear House, Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails shares the same ownership, ensuring a commitment to quality and excellence.
Upon entering, patrons are greeted by a beautiful iron gate, setting the tone for an enchanting dining experience. Catenary string lights cast a warm glow, illuminating the space. As daylight fades, low lights create a cozy ambiance despite the soaring 20-foot-tall ceilings. "Library lights" sconces add a touch of elegance and sophistication, completing the captivating design of Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails.
