Thanks to our friends at @opentapclt for the opportunity to help bring this unique self-pour concept to life. For this project, we set out to pay homage to the historic rough-hewn log cabins of the area, but in a modern, sustainable way. We achieved this through the inclusion of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) wood panels used as a structural roof, one of the first of its kind in Charlotte. Other highlights include “The Front Lawn,” which showcases outdoor fun; the “Treehouse” mezzanine with a living tree in the middle of the gathering space; and “The Port,” a thoughtful space specifically for food truck parking.
Looking forward to the targeted Labor Day weekend opening, and can’t wait to share a beverage with the South Charlotte community. Cheers!
